FARIDPUR: A Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Sub-Inspector was killed in a road accident in Shibrampur area on Dhaka-Khulna highway of the district Thursday noon.

The deceased was identified as Fauk Khan, 45, son of Moazzem Khan of Rajbari Sadar Upazila.

He worked at Jhenaidah RAB-6 as Sub-Inspector.

Faridpur traffic sergeant Tuhin Lashkar told banglanews24.com that a rashly driven private car crashed into motorbike of Faruk while he was returning in his duty at Jhenaidah from the district at around 12:00pm, leaving him injured critically.

Later, he was rushed to Faridpur Medical College Hospital where on duty doctor declared him death.
