Punishment for jobs sans Iqama

RIYADH: Saudi Passport Department warned that if anyone found involved in others works other than Iqama (work permit), will be fined 1 lakh Saudi Riyal and 2-year imprisonment.

Spokesman Ahmed Ali Hiedan in a press release confirmed the matter on Thursday.

Al Heidan said that Saudi government had given chance to the illegal migrants to be legalized, but still some of them were working illegally.

He also said hat without mentioned works on visa, no worker was legal. Following the matter Home Minister will take proper action.

Saudi Land Transport Committee Chief Al-Nayefi said that there were so many migrants who were involved in personal taxi driving, but they entered into the country with different professions.

He also said their prime target was to ensure the easy and comfortable journey of people.

A total 412 registered companies are working now and all of them are using Global Positioning System (GPS).

By using the system movements of drivers and lost goods of passengers can be found easily.
