BRAHMANBARIA: At least 40 people were injured in sporadic clashes between two groups over a trifling matter at Bihair village under Sadar Upazila of the district on Friday morning.

Some 30 houses and shops were vandalized during the clash.

The locals said that the people of Nagor family and Gazi family locked into a clash over past feud in the morning, leaving at least 40 people injured.

However, 25 people of both groups were rushed to Sadar Hospital.

On information police rushed the spot and opened fire, but failed to take the situation under their control.

Sadar Thana Sub-Inspector Atikur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
