Thirteen Covid-19 related fatalities were reported at the Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) in the last 24 hours till Saturday morning (July 31).

Of the deceased, three were the residents in Rajshahi, five from Pabna, three from Naogaon and one each from Chapainawabganj and Natore districts, said RMCH Director Brigadier General Shamim Yazdani.  

Among the deaths, five tested positive for Covid-19 and eight had its symptoms, he said. They were aged between 11 and 65.

Some 509 people died of Covid-19 at the corona unit of RMCH from July 1 to 29.

Besides, 48 patients were admitted to the designated Covid wards of the hospital afresh during the time, taking its number to 433, including 188 tested positive for Covid-19, against 513 beds.
