Fourteen Covid-19 related fatalities were reported at the Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) in the last 24 hours till Wednesday morning (Aug 4).

Of the deceased, four each were from Rajshahi and Natore, three from Naogaon and one each from Chapainawabganj, Kushtia and Chuadanga districts, said RMCH Director Brigadier General Shamim Yazdani.  

Among the deaths, four died of Covid-19, while eight died with symptoms of the virus and the remaining due to post-corona complications, he said. They were aged between 31 and 65.

With this, 66 people died of Covid-19 at the corona unit of RMCH from August 1 to till date.

Besides, eight people have been admitted to the corona unit of the hospital in the past 24 hours. On the other hand, some 30 people were discharged from the hospital after recovery in the last 24 hours.
