Khulna division registered 35 deaths in a 24-hour span till Wednesday (Aug 4) morning.

With this, the Covid death toll reached 2,520 in the division. 

Of them, nine died in Khulna, seven in Jashore, six Kushtia and Chuadanga, three in Meherpur and Magura, and one in Jhenaidah.

Health director's office confirmed the matter to media.

Besides, 745 people have tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours, raising the number of total caseloads to 96,876 in the division.

A total of 73,962 people recovered so far. 

Khulna reported its first Coronavirus case on March 19 last year.
