Global COVID-19 cases surpass 200 million

The overall global Covid-19 caseload has topped 200 million, while the deaths have surged to more than 4.26 million, according to data from the worldometer.

In its latest update on Wednesday (Aug 4, 6:00pm Bangladesh Time), the data revealed that the current global caseload and death toll stood at 200,464,807 and 4,263,392 respectively.

Besides, a total of 180,681,276 people recovered worldwide from the disease, according to data from the worldometer.

A total of 220 countries and territories and two international conveyances have been infected in the deadly disease.

In USA, 36,049,015 people have tested positive for the virus. Of them, 630,497 people have died and 29,756,586 people have recovered.

In Brazil, 19,986,073 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 558,597 have died and 18,746,865 recovered.

In India, 31,769,132 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 425,789 people have died and 30,933,022 people have recovered.

In Mexico, 2,880,409 have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Of them, 241,936 died and 2,257,443 recovered from the disease.

In Peru, 2,116,652 people have tested positive for Covid-19. Of them, 196,598 have died.

In Russia, 6,356,784 people have tested positive for Covid-19. Of them, 161,715 have died and 5,679,842 people have recovered.

In UK, 5,923,820 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of them, 129,881 patients have died and 4,552,631 people have recovered.

In Italy, 4,363,374 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 128,115 people have died and 4,141,043 people have recovered. 

In Colombia, 4,807,979 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Of them, 121,484 people have died and 4,606,140 people have recovered.

In France, 6,178,632 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 111,993 patients have died and 5,717,731 patients have recovered.

In Argentina, 4,961,880 people have tested positive for Covid-19. Of them, 106,447 patients have died and 4,606,026 people have recovered.

In Germany, 3,782,326 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of them, 92,208 patients have died and 3,659,900 have recovered.

In Iran, 4,019,084 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Of them, 92,194 patients have died and 3,444,798 patients have recovered. 

In Indonesia, 3,532,567 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of them, 100,636 patients have died and 2,596,820 people have recovered.

In Spain, 4,523,310 patients have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Of them, 81,773 have died and 3,752,225 patients have recovered. 

In Poland, 2,883,448 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of them, 75,269 patients have died and 2,653,981 people have recovered.

In South Africa, 2,470,746 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of them, 72,992 patients have died and 2,250,708 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 1,309,910 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 21,638 people died and 1,141,157 patients have recovered.

The World Health Organization declared the coronavirus crisis a pandemic on March 11 last year.
