COMILLA: A young girl was killed, stuffed in a gunny bag and then dumped in Kalakankandy bil of Titas in Doudkandi upazila of the district.

Police on Friday morning recovered the badly decomposed body of the unidentified girl, aged about 19, from the spot in a bizarre scene, as awe-stricken villagers looked on.

Locals informed the police after finding the body inside a sack at about 7:30am.

Titus thana OC Abul Faisal said,  “It seems the girl could have been murdered around 12-15 days ago.”

Police started trying to unveil the mystery shrouding the killing, he added.
