Dengue: 74 hospitalised in last 24-hr

The country reported 74 fresh dengue cases in last 24 hours till Sunday morning (Nov 28), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

So far, 98 died from the mosquito-borne disease this year.

In the 24 hours, 61 dengue patients were hospitalised in Dhaka and 13 other people in other places across the country, said the DGHS release.

Some 402 patients diagnosed with dengue fever are now receiving treatment in the country. Of them, 293 patients were receiving treatment in 46 government and private hospitals in Dhaka while the remaining 109 were undergoing treatment outside Dhaka.

Some 27,078 patients have been admitted to different hospitals with dengue since January while 26,578 patients have returned home after recovery.
