Noted writer Qazi Anwar Husain no more

 Noted writer and creator of the spy-thriller series "Masud Rana", Qazi Anwar Husain passed away on Wednesday. He was 85.

Anwar Husain, also founder of Sheba Prokashoni, breathed his last while undergoing treatment at BIRDEM Hospital around 4:45 pm, his family sources said.

He was diagnosed with prostate cancer on October 31, 2021, and has been hospitalised several times since then. He later suffered a brain stroke and a heart attack and was put on life support on January 10, 2022, at a private hospital. He had been on life support for the last 10 days at BIRDEM Hospital.

Born on July 19, 1936, in Dhaka, Qazi Anwar Husain authored a huge number of spy thrillers and adventure novels. 

His father Qazi Motahar Husain, was a scientist, writer, and national professor.
