At least eight people were killed and 25 others injured as a bus hit a private car and a motorcycle at Kashiani upazila of Gopalganj this morning (May 14).

The deceased could not be identified immediately, Banglanews Correspondent.

According to locals, the accident took place around 11:00 am in Dakkhin Fukra area of the upazila.

The death toll might rise, they feared.

Bhatiapara Highway Police Outpost Sub-Inspector (SI) Sirajul Islam has confirmed the matter.

According to him, as the driver lost control over steering, the Maoa-bound bus of Rajiv Paribahan coming from Khulna hit a private car and a motorbike in Dakkhin Fukra area leaving seven people dead on the spot and 25 others injured.

Later, one of the injured died while undergoing treatment in a local hospital, he added.
