JHALOKATI: Ate least 10 people sustained burn injuries as Jamaat-Shibir activists torched a BRTC bus near BRAC intersection area of the district on Saturday evening.

Locals said a group of Jamaat-Shibir activists suddenly attacked and set fire to a Barisal bound BRTC bus in the area around 6:00pm.

Of the injured, two passengers sustained burn injuries critically, said a spot account of the incident.

Later, on information, two units of Jhalokati fire fighters doused the blaze.

Jhalokati Circle Senior Assistant Police Super SM Anwar Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.
