CHITTAGONG: The security measures have been beefed up in Shah Amanat airport of the port city on Thursday apprehending subversive activities.

Police sources said an intelligence organization provided information of subversive activities including cocktail attack and then instantly police took steps in this regard.

Later, restriction has been imposed in entry to the airport.

Additional police, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and Anser men were deployed in the area.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC-port) Mostak Ahmed confirmed the matter to Banglanews.
