At least six people were killed and 40 others injured in a collision between a passenger bus and a microbus on the Dhaka-Tangail Bangabandhu Setu highway on Thursday (October 6).
The identity of the deceased could not be found immediately, Banglanews correspondent reports.
The incident took place around 12:30 pm in the Gol Chakkar area of the highway.
According to local sources, as the driver lost control of the steering, the passenger bus hit the microbus, leaving six people dead.
Safety in-charge of Bangabandhu Bridge Rafiqul Islam confirmed this matter to Banglanews.
He, however, said that three people were killed on the spot.
