Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her younger sister Sheikh Rehana have started the journey to Tungipara by road from PM's official residence Ganabhaban today (Oct 07).

They left Ganobhaban at around 7:15 am according to a message from PM’s office.

On the way, they are likely to have a short break at Jajira point's service area of Padma Bridge.

Earlier, the prime minister opened the country's longest-ever self-financed Padma multi-purpose bridge amid nationwide jubilation on June 25.

The PM and her sister Rehana are scheduled to leave Tungipara for Dhaka this afternoon.
