BOGRA: A Mother and her infant were killed as a train crushed them near Altafnagar rail station area of Dupchachia upazila of the district on Friday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Sapna Rani, 30, wife of Niranjan Pramanik of Nandigram upazila under the district and her son Niloy Pramanik 2.

Witnesses said that a Bogra-bound local train crushed Sapna and her son around 3:30pm near Altafnagar rail station area, leaving them dead on the spot.

Bogra Railway police sub-inspector Bimol Kumar confirmed the matter to banglanews.
