DHAKA: Additional security forces were withdrawn from the perimeter of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s Gulshan residence and her political office on Sunday.

Gulshan Thana Officer-in-Charge Rafiqul Islam informed the matter to banglanews.

He said although additional forces were withdrawn, security measures had been beefed up around opposition leader’s residence.  

BNP Chairperson’s media wing member Shamsuddin Didar said that they had not seen any extra law enforcers since the morning.

Earlier on Friday, the extra police were deployed soon after the arrests of top five BNP leaders when the opposition called 72-hour hartal demanding non-partisan poll-time government.
