DHAKA: Jatiya Party (JP) Presidium Member Kazi Zafar Ahmed on Saturday categorically said Chairman of the party HM Ershad has betrayed with the people by taking part in so-called all-party polls-time government.

The senior politician of the party came up with the allegation in a statement sent to different media in the evening.

In the statement, he urged the grass-root level leaders and activists to take stance against the activities of Ershad.

Kazia Jafar also urged them to come forward for staging movement in reinstating non-party neutral government to oversee the next polls.  

He also opined that it is not possible to hold the free, fair and credible elections without non-party government.

The chairman introduced the as betrayal party before the common people of the country, he observed.
