BNP activists and police locked into clash in Dhaka's Science Lab area today (May 23) afternoon.

According to eyewitnesses, the clash broke out around 3:50 pm after BNP men brought out a procession.

At that time, police arrested several leaders and activists including BNP executive committee member Rabiul Islam Ravi. Police also fired tear shells to control the situation, eyewitnesses added.

BNP was holding a procession in Science Lab area to press home their 10-point demand, which includes the resignation of the government.

Jeeban Mia, leader of the fire service headquarters confirmed the matter around 4:30 pm.
