‘JP-govt talks underway’

DHAKA: Jatiya Party (JP) Secretary General Ruhul Amin Howlader said that talks with government was underway and trying to fix the issue of resignation and present political crisis.

The spokesperson of the party came up with the observation at JP Chairman HM Ershad’s residence at city’s Banani at around 12:30 pm while he was answering to queries of the journalists.

Ruhul Amin said: “The talks with the government is underway as we were part of the government. But we agree with our party Chairman HM Ershad as he decides for the sake of the betterment of the country and people.”

“We have talked to Anisul Islam Mahmud and Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu. They came here yesterday and today will come,” he added.

Answering another question, he said that our chairman along with us working to overcome this political turmoil of the country.
