DHAKA: Opposition BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia on Thursday urged the government to walk on the pathway of peace and compromise avoiding obstinacy.
The Leader of the Opposition came up with the plea in a statement signed by her press secretary Maruf Kamal Khan in the evening.
She also asked the government to stop repression to the opposition leaders and activists across the country.
Khaleda Zia urged the countrymen to participate in the ongoing movement of the 18-party for non-party caretaker government.
In the statement, former Prime Minister of the country also thanked the UN Secretary General for his initiative to resolving the prevailing political crisis of Bangladesh.
She also criticized the killing of BNP leaders and activists in Laxmipur.
