DHAKA: Activists of Chhatra Shibir, the student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami, locked into a clash with law enforcers at capital’s Dholaikhal area on Saturday morning.

Witnesses said that Shibir activists brought out a sudden procession at around 10:30am and police protested them which triggered a clash.

Meanwhile, Shibir men blasted four cocktails from the procession.

On information, police rushed to the spot and dispersed the demonstrators by firing rounds of bullets.

Besides, police held three Shibir men from the spot, said witnesses.

But Sutrapur Thana Officer-in-Charge Khalilur Rahman Patwari told banglanews, “No one was held in this connection.”
