DHAKA: Opposition BNP standing committee member Nazrul Islam Khan on Saturday alleged that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina shut the door of consensus.
The BNP leader made the allegation while talking to journalists at party chairperson Khaleda Zia’s Ghulshan party office in the afternoon.
Terming the 10th election as eyewash, he said, “The premier said that they are agreed to initiate another polls if opposition comes to consensus leaving agitation progammes out and the remark is wicked trap.”
He added: “Now she is talking to take initiatives for 11th poll but our party and countrymen are not foolish as we are on struggle for transparent and impartial 10th national polls.”
Nazrul also stated that army deployment in the polls without participations of voters and competitors is tantamount to put them (army) against the people of the country.
