DHAKA: Awami League joint general secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif sought round the clock security to the Election Commission (EC) for him and his family.

Personal Secretary (PS) of the Awami league leader M Tariqul Islam submitted a letter to EC secretariat in this regard on Tuesday noon.

Tariqul told journalists:  “We sought proper security measures for the Awami League leader as he submitted the legal arms as per EC directives and now anxiety aroused that miscreants can assault him and his family.”

Meanwhile, security measures also sought for Hanif’s election campaign as he is an aspirant for the upcoming the 10th parliamentary polls.
