Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader citing BNP-Jamaat’s role in the recent student movement said that police and common people cannot take part in any killing incident in the country.

Quader said while addressing a press conference at Awami League President Sheikh Hasina’s Dhanmondi political office in Dhaka on Friday.

He said, “BNP-Jamaat men are responsible for the killing. Jamaat-Shibir men carried out the riot. We are investigating the matter and hope all the truth will come out soon.” 

He further said, “We do not wish any unwanted death. Every murder will be judged. Action will be taken against those involved in violence.”

“The people of the country will not accept the violence that has been carried out in the center of the movement. Soon the situation in the country will be normal,” he added.
