DHAKA: The High Court on Sunday granted six moths bail to six BNP leaders for in different cases.

An HC bench comprising Justice Borhanuddin and Justice KM Kamrul Quader passed the interim order after hearing on two cases filed over Hefajat mayhem in the capital’s Motijheel area on May 5.

The leaders are BNP standing committee members Barrister Moudud Ahmed, MK Anwar, Rafiqul Islam Mia, and ASM Hannan Shah, and BNP chairperson’s special assistant Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas.

Earlier, the HC bench granted bail to BNP chairperson’s adviser Mir Mohammad Nasiruddin.

The defense counsels confirmed the matter to banglanews.
