Another case was filed today against ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina and six others for allegedly attempting to murder former BNP lawmaker Nazim Uddin Alam in 2012.
The other accused in the case are- Mohiuddin Khan Alamgir, Abdullah Al Islam Jacob, Hasan Mahmud Khandaker, SM Mahfuzul Haque Nuruzzaman, Habibur Rahman and Asaduzzaman.
Nazim Uddin Alam filed the complaint with the court of Dhaka Judicial Magistrate SM Saiful Islam. The court after recording statement of the complainant, asked Saval Model Police Station to file the matter as first information report (FIR).
According to the case documents, Nazim Uddin Alam and his activists took position on Amin Bazar Bridge in support of BNP-led 18-party alliance's peaceful sit in program on December 9, 2012. Suddenly Police pounced on BNP leaders and activists to disperse them, firing tear shells and shotgun pellets indiscriminately. More than 50 BNP men, including Nazim Uddin Alam were injured in the attack.
