DHAKA: A Dhaka court Sunday rejected bail to BNP Standing Committee Member Moudud Ahmed and advisor to Chairperson Khandaker Mahbub Hossain in a graft and explosive case respectively.    

Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge M Jahurul Haque denied their bail petition after hearing.   

Moudud Ahmed’s counsel Advocate Taherul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.  

On November 8 last year, police detained four senior BNP leaders, including Moudud hours after the party-led alliance had called a 72-hour shutdown across the country.
