Masood Sayedee prays for movement martyrs at Masjid al-Nabawi

Masood Sayedee, son of the late Jamaat-e-Islami leader and renowned Islamic scholar Delawar Hossain Sayedee, offered prayers for those who sacrificed their lives and shed their blood in the movement to establish Islam in Bangladesh and to restore democracy, freedom of speech, and voting rights in the country.

Masood Sayedee made his supplication to Allah after performing prayers at Masjid al-Nabawi in Madinah.

In a Facebook post on Sunday, he wrote, "After a long 167 days, I prayed Isha again at Masjid al-Nabawi. Alhamdulillah, I arrived in Madinah Munawara from Dubai via Riyadh shortly before Isha prayer. Late at night, I will visit Riyadul Jannah. I will offer my salam to my beloved Prophet, the Prophet of mercy. On behalf of my father, I will send greetings to Rasulullah (PBUH).

Additionally, for those who asked me to convey their greetings to Rasulullah (PBUH) and for whom I promised to do so, I will fulfill my promise and pray for them, Insha'Allah.

'O Allah, I am undoubtedly a sinner, but if You do not forgive my sins, who else will? Forgive me, O Allah, forgive me today. Accept my respected father, Delawar Hossain Sayedee, the Bird of the Qur'an, as a green bird of paradise.

Grant the highest status of martyrdom in Heaven (Jannat) to those who were wounded, shed their blood, and sacrificed their lives in the movement to establish Islam in Bangladesh and in the struggle to restore democracy, freedom of speech, and voting rights. O Almighty, accept my plea.'"
