FROM JATIYA SANGSHAD: Ruling Awami League joint general secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif categorically said that the deaths in joint forces’ drive during post and after polls periods weren’t extra judicial killings.

“Criminal’s with several allegations and cases were killed during the drives, so it couldn’t be titled as extra judicial action,” he said.

He made the comment to reporters on his way to National Parliament on Tuesday, just an hour after BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s press conference.

Earlier in the day, at a press conference at a city hotel, BNP Chief blamed the government for several extra judicial killings.
