Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested Dablu Sarker, Rajshahi City Unit General Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League, from Naogaon district last night.

Dablu Sarker was arrested from Dakshinpara village under Sadar Upazila in Naogaon on Friday night.

Battalion Commander of RAB-5 Lt Col Firoj Kabir confirmed the matter.

He said 11 cases, including killings of students Abu Raihan and Sakib Anjum in students' mass upsurge on August 5 in Rajshahi, are pending against Dablu.

RAB officer Lt Col Firoj Kabir also said there are massive allegations against Dablu that he had led the armed attacks on the anti-discriminatory student movements at Alupatty crossing and Shaheb Bazar areas in Rajshahi city on 5 August.
