DHAKA: The appellate division canceled the High Court order that granted bail to Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Standing Committee member Khandaker Mosharraf Hossainl in money laundering case.
A five-member bench of Supreme Court’s Appellate Division headed by Chief Justice Mohammad Mozammel Hossain passed the order.
Advocate AJ Mohammad Ali stood for Khandaker Mosharraf.
Earlier on February 10, the High Court granted a six-week bail in the case.
On February 6, Anti-Corruption Commission filed the case against Khandaker Mosharraf with Ramna Thana.
According to the case statement, Khandaker Mosharraf had illegally siphoned Tk 9,53,94,381 to other country.
