DHAKA: The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) -1 ordered to place fresh argument on March 10 in the case against Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Motiur Rahman Nizami.
Three member-ICT led by new chairman M Enayetur Rahim passed the order on Wednesday.
Earlier on November 13 last, International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 kept the judgment on CAV (curia advisary vult, a Latin legal term meaning court awaits verdict) as arguments from both sides ended on the day.
But before pronouncing the verdict, ICT-1 chairman Justice ATM Fazle Kabir retired from the post on December 31.
On May 28, 2012, the tribunal indicted the Jamaat ameer for his alleged involvement in committing crimes against humanity in 1971.
On June 29, 2010, Nizami was arrested after a magistrate court in Dhaka issued warrant of arrest in connection with a criminal case over hurting religious sentiment of Muslims.
Later on July 22, the tribunal shown him arrested in connection with the war crimes case.
