BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today (Jan 11) said that some people within the country are attempting to create a division in the national unity forged during the anti-fascist mass uprising.
Fakhrul said, “There is no division among us,” and expressed confidence that such attempts would fail.
He called for patience in rebuilding Bangladesh, highlighting the current fragile political and economic situation.
He also said that the country must be cautious and avoid rash decisions that could undermine progress.
“If we could overcome fascism together, why can’t we rebuild the state with new possibilities?” he asked.
The BNP leader also reiterated the party's stance on state reforms, clarifying that the call for elections is not driven by restlessness but the need for an elected government to resolve the ongoing crises.
