Police arrested Vice President of Dhaka South Chhatra League on early Thursday (Feb 20) morning.

Adnan Khan Sad, was arrested from South Bansree area of the capital by Khilgaon Police.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Khilgaon Police Station, Md. Dawood Hossain, confirmed the matter. 

He said that Sad was arrested in connection with a case filed at the Khilgaon Police Station.

The case was filed on February 16 at the request of Md. Hira, a resident of Khilgaon. 

According case statement Sad, along with 163 others, of severe injuries, theft, extortion, and directing attacks during the anti-discrimination student movement on July 19. The case involves leaders and activists from the Awami League, the 14-party alliance, and other affiliated organizations.
