DHAKA: A total of fifty candidates submitted their nomination papers for the reserved seats in the 10th National Parliament.

Of the aspirants, some 39 are from Awami League, six from Jatiya Party and five are independents.

They submitted their nomination papers to Jasmine Tuli, returning officer of election commission, on Sunday.

Opposition chief whip M Tazul Islam Chowdhury and political advisor to the opposition leader Golam Moshi were present at EC.

The AL candidates are Selina Jahan Lita, Advocate Sofura Begum Rumi, Advocate Hosne Ara Lutfa Dalia, Advocate Umme Kulsum Smrity, Akhter Jahan, Selina Begum Swapna, Selina Akhter Banu, Laila Arjumand Banu, Sheerin Nayem Punam, Kamrul Laila Joli, Happy Bodal, Rifat Amin, Nasima Ferdousi, Alhaj lutfunnesa, Advocate Momotaj Begum, Advocate Tarana Halim, Monwara Begum, Mahjabin Khaled, Fatema Johra Rani, Alhaj Dilara Mahbub Asma, Fatematujjohora, Fajilatun Nesa Indira, Pinu Khan, Sanjida Khanam, Sabina Akter Tuhin, Rahima Akter, Advocate Hosne Ara Babli, Kamrun Nahar Chowdhury Lovely, Nilufer Jafar Ullah, Rokhsana Yeasmin Chuti, Advocate Navana Akter, Asmatul Kibriya Keya Chowdhury, Advocate Shamsun Nahar Begum, Fajilatun Nesa Bappy, Wasifa Aysha Khan, Jahanara Begum Surma, Sabiha Nahar Begum; Sabiha Musa, Firoza Begum Chinu and Suchitra Tonchongya while JP nominates Shahana Begum, Mahjabin Morshed, Rowshonara Mannan, Nur-e-Hasna Lily Chowdhury, Khorshedara Haque and Merina Tahman, Younger sister of JP Chair Ershad and individuals are Kazi Roji, Advocate Nurjahan Begum Mukta and Advocate Umme Rajia Kajol.

However, by the election law each party will get reserved one for six seats.

Additional Secretary of election commission Jasmine Tuli told banglanews that AL will gets 39, Workers Party one, JSD one, JP six and three reserved seats will be given to individual.
