DHAKA: Jatiya Party secretary general ABM Ruhul Amin Hawlader Tuesday categorically said there can be no question of interim polls in the country.

“We are not thinking on this issue now as general elections were held just two months ago,” he also said.

JP leader came out with the assertions to the journalists after holding a meeting with party members who withdrew their nominations for January 5 general elections.

Addressing the leaders, Hawlader said there is nothing disappointing for those who had withdrawn their nomination papers following the directions of party chief HM Ershad.

They will be evaluated according to their qualifications, he added.
