DHAKA: BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia on Saturday categorically said the people of Bangladesh rejected Awami League through the 5 January polls.
The former premier of the country came up with the assertion while addressing a programme at her Gulshan office in the city in the night.
The newly elected leaders, including president, of Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) met Khaleda Zia.
Khaleda Zia also claimed that Awami League would be defeated weakly if the polls were held in free, fair and credible manner.
She also criticized the incumbent government as they repressed the opposition men.
Acting secretary general of the party Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and standing committee member Barrister Moudud Ahmed were among others present at the programme.
