‘BD govt nervous in India poll results’

DHAKA: Seeing the results of India’s national polls the Bangladesh government is feeling nervous, commented Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.

He also commented that BNP has nothing to be exited in the neighboring country’s poll results.

He said at a roundtable meeting, on the occasion of 38th anniversary of historic Farakka long march, at National Press Club on Sunday noon.

Aggression Pratirodh National Committee organized the meeting on India’s water aggression to Bangladesh.

The BNP leader said that ministers of the government are now nervous (seeing India’s poll results), because they have no relation with people.

He said that India is a democratic country. Their government is formed by elections.

He hoped that the new government pf the neighboring country would take initiatives to solve the existing problems with Bangladesh.

India is using the trans-boundary rivers to fertile their lands depriving Bangladesh. We are victims of India’s aggressions in many sector including water, economy and politics, he said.

Among others, Bangladesh Kalyan Party president General (retd) Syed Mohammad Ibrahim and National Democratic Party chairman Khondakar Golam Murtaza spoke at the program chaired by Bangladesh Muslim League president AHM Qamruzzaman Khan.
