FROM AMIR COMPLEX, UTTARA (DHAKA): BNP’s long march towards Teesta Barrage is not against anyone, even not against the government of India.
BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir came up with the assertion while addressing a brief rally before starting the long march at Amir Complex in capital’s Uttara on Tuesday morning.
The BNP leader said, “The long march not against anyone. The movement is for due share of Teesta water from India.”
Later Mirza Fakhrul urged the government to sign any agreement defending national interest must.
Urging to join the rally Fakhrul also said, “Let us convey the message to the people through the long march that the Teesta water is not just our demand, it’s our rights.”
