DHAKA: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) will seek permission from Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) naming three alternative venues to hold rally on April 28.
The possible venues are Suhrawardy Uddyan, Naya Paltan party office premises or at the in-front of the National Press Club in the capital.
Confirming this matter to banglanews, metropolitan BNP member secretary Abdus Salam said that his party would issue a letter on Sunday seeking permission from DMP Commissioner.
BNP will hold demonstration at upazilas, districts and metropolitans on April 28 protesting ‘false cases’ against party chairperson Khaleda Zia and senior vice chairman Tarique Rahman along with killings, kidnapping and assaulting party leaders and activists.
Besides, they will stage dawn-to-dusk ‘mass-fasting’ on May 4.
