DHAKA: BNP will stage protest rally in every thana of the capital Dhaka on Saturday as they were denied permission for holding rally in Narayanganj on May 17.
Party’s standing committee member Tarikul Islam declared about the rally in a press briefing at Naya Paltan central office on Friday afternoon.
Earlier, BNP sought permissions to stage a rally at Jatrabari or Demra when they were declined to stage in Narayanganj.
Earlier in the day, BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir told the media that police did not give permission to BNP to arrange rally in Narayanganj on excuse of safety.
BNP called the rally protesting the seven-murder of Narayanganj.
Metropolitan BNP convener Sadeque Hossain Khoka, joint secretary general Barkat Ullah Bulu Rizvi Ahmed among others were present in the briefing.
