DHAKA: Miscreants chopped a leader of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) leader of Gulshan Thana on Wednesday noon.

The injured is Riaz Sikder Kochi, organizing secretary of Gulshan Thana Chhatra League.

Source said some local goons attacked Kochi at 2:00pm when he was sitting near Gulshan-1 DCC market, hacked him with sharp weapons, leaving him critically injured.

Kochi was admitted to a private medical hospital in the city.

Gulshan Thana officer-in-charge Rafiqul Islam told banglanews that a case was filed in this connection.
