AL wants power thru’ bloodshed

DHAKA: BNP joint-secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Thursday said Awami League wants to stay in power forcefully through occurring bloodshed.

Rizvi said, “There are no rule of law and human rights in the country; so murder, enforced disappearance and kidnap are underway across the country.”

The BNP leader was talking to the journalists after placing wreaths at the grave of the party founder, Ziaur Rahman, in the city.

Rezvi said, “BNP has been reforming; so that, this illegal (AL) government is forced to hold participatory polls under a non-partisan and neutral caretaker government.”

Leaders and activists of newly formed Narshingdi district Juba Dal committee, among others, were present there.
