DHAKA: BNP senior vice-chairman Tarique Rahman burst into tear on Monday after he met his younger brother Arafat Rahman Koko after seven years.
One of their family sources confirmed the matter to banglanews on Thursday night.
Sources said that after the hug, the siblings broke down in tears, at that time.
The meeting happened when Tarique went to Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur from London for medical check-up.
The sons of former President Ziaur Rahman were detached since 2007, when Koko was detained along with his mother, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, on September 3 of that year. Tarique was also in jail from March 7, 2007, earlier.
From then on, the siblings didn’t meet each other, except meeting with Khaleda, particularly.
