DHAKA: Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Motiur Rahman Nizami has been shifted to the Dhaka Central Jail on Monday.
Sources said that he had been brought at the central jail around 7:00pm.
However, centering the verdict, law enforcers have tightened security in the capital, the sources added.
Earlier, the accused was at Kashimpur High Security Central Jail.
Kashimpur prison jailer Jannatul Farhad said that the jail authorities handed over Nizami following an order from higher authorities.
On June 29, in 2010, Nizami was arrested from in front of the National Press Club.
On August 2 in 2010, he was shown arrested in the war crimes case.
Moreover, Nizami is accused in several cases, including the war crimes against humanity during the country’s war of independence in 1971.
