DHAKA: The authorities of Dhaka University on Tuesday expelled 10 students, also activists of Bangladesh Chattra League, for different terms for their involvement in attack on journalists.
The authorities also served separate show cause notice to two others in this connection
DU Acting Proctor Professor AM Amzad confirmed the matter to banglanews.
Of the expelled, six students-- Mizan, Sharif, Bidyut, Zakir, Hamid and Sohag--were expelled for one year, four-- Mehedi, Noble, Parvez and Rahat--for six months while Mokhles and Khokon were served show cause notice.
The expelled students would not take part any academic activities during their expulsion period, said the proctor.
On Monday, BCL also expelled these 12 activists from the organization.
