AL threatens to face BNP on Jan 5 Mahbubul Alam Hanif

DHAKA: Awami League (AL) threatened to face the movement of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) on January 5.

BNP Joint general secretary of the party Mahbubul Alam Hanif made the forewarning in a press conference at their political office in city’s Dhanmondi area on Sunday evening.

The AL arranged the press conference to declare January 5 as ‘victory day of democracy’ and urge all to observe the day.
 
He also said they will prevent BNP with the support of people of the country if BNP want to do something fishy in the name of movement.

The AL leader said they know how to wage the movement. So, they always ready to tackle all type of situation.

Mentioning the BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s remarks that AL was not ready for the liberation war and AL fabricating the history of the war, Hanif said the whole nation led by Bangabandhu participated in the war.

He added: “Earlier Khaleda acknowledged many people as freedom fighter those were not participated during the war. We will resist the BNP to come on power as they will do it again.”

AL Health affairs secretary Dr Bodiuzzaman Bhuiyan (Dablu) and deputy publicity secretary Ashim Kumar Ukil, among others, were present in the press conference.
