PABNA: Police arrested an activist of Islami Chhatra Shibir, student wing of Jamaat-e-Islam and seized arms, explosives and leaflets from Atua Kha area of the district town on Saturday night.

The detainee is identified as Shibir cadre Nur Hossain Leon, resident of the area.

Police sources said that, acting on a tip-off, law enforcers conducted a drive in the area and nabbed him with six bullets, 2 cocktails, a sharp weapon and leaflets of Jamaat-Shibir.

Pabna Sadar Thana Officer-in-Charge Ahsanul Haque confirmed the matter to banglanews.
