DHAKA: Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury has claimed that if the incumbent government completes its present tenure, the electricity will be so much available that it would be sold like hawkers.
The minister came up with this assertion while addressing a seminar titled ‘Biotism Crops and Food Security’ at Bangladesh Agriculture Research Council (BARC) of the city on Sunday noon.
She said, “While we sought vote in 2009 national election, we said that you give the vote on AL, the fertilizer will be available for you and it becomes true.”
“In 2014 national election, we promised to make the electricity available,” the senior AL leader said adding: “If Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina rules the country for next four years the electricity will be available.”
International Service for the Acquisition of Agri-biotech Applications (ISAAA), BARC and Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) jointly organized the seminar.
